內容簡介（中文）

繪秋景。庭中一角，高大的楓樹與桐樹下，文人正在雅玩遣性。一人倚欄賞景，書僮捧冊隨後。一人挽袖題壁，書僮在後研墨，旁一人立觀。兩人坐於桐蔭，正展卷品賞，旁另有小童數人，或捧卷侍立，或洗茗碗。

本幅原屬一組四張圖畫，以春、夏、秋、冬四景，分繪文人從事琴、棋、書、畫活動。

內容簡介（英文）

This painting of an autumn scene depicts a garden where a tall maple and pawlonia tree rise, under which literati enjoy a pastime of elegant curios. One is leaning against the railing and enjoys the scenery as a servant with books stands behind. Another scholar pulls his sleeve as he inscribes the wall with a servant behind grinding ink and another person standing and watching. Two others are sitting in the shade of the pawlonia, opening a scroll in appreciation as several attendants are beside them standing with scrolls or washing tea bowls.

This work was originally one in a series of four dealing with the four seasons, showing scholars enjoying the literati pastimes of the zither, wei-ch’i (go), calligraphy, and painting.
